Our Story

This project began with a shared ambition between Norway’s ALF and our partners to elevate the standard of inclusive education. We saw that vulnerable learners needed more than just access—they needed high-quality, tailored support to truly thrive.

Our story is simple: we turned our shared challenges into a shared solution. By exchanging knowledge across borders, we have built a framework that adds value to adult education. Quality Plus is the result of that vision. It is an initiative born from the field, designed by practitioners for practitioners. Our story is one of collaboration, aiming to equip adult educators with the “Quality Plus” mindset—enhancing practices to ensure no learner is left behind.

About the project

Our Aim

The primary aim of Q+ is to improve the standard of the adult education process through the development of inclusive curricula and specialized competence development programs.

Key Objectives

Over the course of two years, our consortium is working toward three specific goals:

Enhance Educator Competences:
We aim to upgrade the skills of 50 adult education staff members across partner countries to implement inclusive learning protocols by March 2027.

Develop Work-Life Programs:
We are creating two distinct competence development programs tailored specifically for ADHD learners and immigrant learners to facilitate their success in work and life by May 2027.

Improve Quality Management:
We will adapt and improve quality management systems (such as EQUASS) for adult education settings in 6 partner countries by June 2027

Activities

To achieve these goals, the project implementation is structured into five Work Packages (WPs), including:

Internal training & workshops for educators
Curriculum development for inclusive learning
Study sessions in Sweden, Spain, and Portugal to analyse different learning curricula
Quality assurance research, including a job shadowing visit to Cork ETB (Ireland) to observe QQI standards in action
Multiplier Events at national and European levels to share our results

Target group:
The project supports adult educators and diverse adult learners including adults with ADHD and immigrants.
